I recently visited Governors Island and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful playground situated on the island. It is a very usual playground, something I never seem before. I could not wait to get home and tell my son about so he can bring my grandson there.
As I researched the Governors Island Playground , I found that it has been in the making for over one year. There was an article published by the NY Times on May 27, 2016, describing original concept on the park. Here is the link to the NY Times article.
You can visit the Governors Island Website to find out more about the Governors Island playground and hours open to the pubic. The ferry ride to Governors Island should also to fun for the kids.
